Last night Art took James on a special date...just the two of them. James has been looking forward to this all week. He wanted to go to a "real golf course" to play golf with Dad. Art took him to the minature golf course over at the Swan Lake golf course near our house. They had a great time - James even got a hole-in-one on the volcano hole!After the game, Art took James out to dinner (he even managed to take him somewhere other than McDonalds. How did he pull that one off??) The evening ended with a wonderful surprise. Art took James to pick out a beautiful bouquet of flowers for Mommy. James chose some gorgeous yellow roses (our favorite yellow!) and was so excited to deliver them to a very pleasantly surprised mom. "Do you love them, Mom?"
What a wonderful dad Art is! Not only is he spending one-on-one time with his boys and having fun with them, but he is teaching them to be just as thoughtful and kind as he is. Hopefully our boys will grow up to and be great daddies and husbands. They have the best example in the world!

Wow Amy, how lucky can a woman be to have the cutest red headed little son AND a very thoughtful, loving husband as well. Cudos to the special parents who raised and trained my wonderful son-in-law!
