We will be posting some new photos of Ben soon, but for now I just wanted to record a few of the cute things we've heard from James and Daniel since Ben's arrival.
We had to clear up a few misconceptions James developed when he came to see Ben in the hospital. He asked, "Mom how did they know which baby in the nursery to give to us? Do they make girls and boys in that nursery?" Apparently he thought you could just go up to the window and pick out a baby. If only it were that easy!
Daniel's most repeated phrase initially was "Is Ben not in your tummy any more?" It has since been replaced by "Mom, where is Ben?" He has to keep tabs on him at all times. Daniel has also informed me that it is his job to teach Ben how to play with toys.
James asked the other night if I would bring Ben to his first soccer game. He said he needs to teach his brother how to make goals. This boy is going to have some great big brothers to show him the ropes!!!
One last cute thing...The first time Daniel saw me burping the baby he immediately yelled, "Mom! Stop spanking our baby!!!"
This is such a fun time for our family. It is amazing to feel the strong spirit that a new baby brings. We love Ben so much and are grateful to have him in our home. It has brought out so much love and tenderness in our big boys!
