What started out as a gray, cloudy, wet day turned out to be a gorgeous Fall day...perfect for a fieldtrip to Black Island Farms with Daniel's preschool. Ben and I got to tag along and enjoy the morning with a wagon-load of excited kids. A hay ride, a close-up look at farm produce, a stop at the pumpkin patch, and lots of time in the haybale play area. How much fun can we handle???
Daniel loved the big slides. He couldn't get enough. His only disappointment was that the biggest slide of all was closed. Maybe next year.

No trip to Black Island would be complete without the cow train.
Ben found the broomstick corn the farmer showed us to be highly entertaining.
Daniel found his perfect little pumpkin. He loves his pick so much that he declared that Mom and Dad can have the great big one we picked out together on family night. He is much happier with this little guy!
