My Kitchen on baking Day

Yesterday my house was transformed into a baking frenzy. Art's family came for the annual Mullins Family Baking Day. My usually spacious kitchen became somewhat cramped with five cooks tripping over each other making goodies. In the mean time, the men watched football and the kids managed to empty every single toy we own onto the play room floor. By 6 pm there was not a room in my house that was unscathed. Toys, flour, sticky fingerprints, toys, frosting, boxes, toys.... you name it, it was spread throughout the house. But the end result was 24 loaves of Danish pastry, 2 batches of fudge, 4 loaves of cranberry bread, 2 batches of English toffee, countless batches of cookies, and 12 pints of jalapeno jelly. This was added to the mountains of homemade chocolates Art's mom had made previously. WOW! Merry Christmas eating to us all!
