With the arrival of summer and the HEAT, the boys have been all about water activities. I think they live in their swimming suits these days. Fortunately, there are neighbors with slip-n-slides and trampolines with sprinklers underneath. There are other neighbors with giant Bonzai slides. We finally joined the ranks of the "cool" houses when Daddy brought home a swimming pool...complete with the slide Daniel requested. This just goes to show it doesn't take anything too fancy to keep kids happy. We've had several pool parties (and James has even attempted a boating excursion) and lots of wet kids in the backyard.

Yesterday after James' swimming lessons, we joined several other neighborhood families at the Roy Aquatic Center for a day of water fun. The boys had an absolute blast on the water playgrounds and in the splash pools. They even surprised me by daring to go down the huge water slide together! I couldn't believe even Daniel wanted to try. I'm probably a terrible mom for sending a 4 year old and a 2 year old by themselves down the slide (with life jackets on though!) but they squealed with laughter the whole time, so it must not have been too bad!

Almost every afternoon after all the water antics, you can usually find James and Daniel conked out somewhere in the house. They run those little bodies so hard they can barely stand up straight by the end of the day. Isn't summer great!?!?!
